Krista Boling, Director of Promotions, Special Events and Customer Relations

Krista Boling was promoted to Director of Promotions, Special Events and Customer Relations for NBC Universal Media Works in 2008. She is responsible for promoting Studio Operations departments via sponsorships with film festivals, award shows and participation with various industry organizations. In addition Boling oversees the Special Events department that provides on lot special event production to both internal and external clientele. As Director of Customer Relations, Boling ensures quality customer service to the Studio Operations departments customers by conducting client surveys, coordinating and designing acknowledgment gifts and promotional inventory. Her other responsibilities consist of monitoring press and publicity activity on the lot. Boling reports to Jeanne Cordova, Vice President of Marketing, Publicity and Special Events.

Boling joined Universal in 2003 as a Marketing Representative handling the promotional marketing for the Studio Operations divisions. In 2005 she was promoted to Manager of Promotions, Press and Customer Relations. Prior to joining Universal, Boling worked at E Trade Financial.

Boling received her Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from UCLA in 2002. She was the captain of the UCLA Women’s soccer team, leading the team to the NCAA Championship in 1999.”

 

 

Mandy Philp, Senior Manager, Digital Marketing & Publicity Event Production

Mandy Philp joined Universal in December of 2008 as Special Events Manager and was promoted to Senior Manager of Digital Marketing and Publicity Event Production in 2011. She is responsible for maintaining the Filmmakers Destination website in addition to overseeing digital marketing efforts including social media for all departments. As Manager of Publicity Event Production, Philp is responsible for planning all events taking place on the lot that promote Universal Studios’ content including press junkets and publicity shoots.

Prior to joining Universal, Philp was the West Coast Events Manager for Architectural Digest Manager as well as an Advertising Associate at Esquire Magazine.

Philp received her Bachelor of Arts in Communications with an emphasis in Public Relations from Washington State University in 1999.

 

 

Jennifer Dunn, Special Events Manager

Jennifer Dunn joined Universal in April 2011 and was hired on as Manager, Special Events to provide special event production to both internal and external clientele. She is responsible for organizing, planning and executing internal and third party events from inception to completion, as well as, acts as a liaison between all Universal departments, the client and vendors.

Prior to joining Universal, she was Director of Catering and Special Events at Aloft Dallas Downtown Hotel, part of Starwood Resorts and Hotels.

Dunn received her Bachelor of Arts in Italian Area Studies and Psychology from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX in 2007.

 

 

Kandra Hoffmann, Special Events Manager

Kandra Hoffmann became a member of the NBC Universal Special Events Department in early 2011. Hoffmann is responsible for coordinating all aspects of on lot special event production to both internal and external clientele. Hoffmann reports to Krista Boling, Director of Promotions, Special Events and Customer Relations.

Before her responsibilities at Universal, Hoffmann interned at Warner Brothers in the Feature Casting Department while assisting in Hotel Special Events. Shortly thereafter, Hoffmann was hired at International Creative Management (ICM) where she served as an assistant in the Motion Picture Talent Department.

Kandra Hoffmann received her Bachelor in Family and Consumer Sciences from The University of Arizona on the Deans List in May 2009.

 

 

Shannon Crisafulli, Marketing & Special Events Representative

Shannon Crisafulli was promoted to Marketing & Special Events Representative for Universal Operations Group in 2011. Her responsibilities include managing the department’s finances, compiling weekly business reports and monthly client survey reports, handling event inquiries, and accommodating press crews and promotional shoots on the lot. Shannon reports to Jeanne Cordova, Vice President of Marketing, Publicity and Special Events.

Crisafulli joined Universal in 2008 as an Administrative Assistant to Jeanne Cordova.

Shannon received Bachelor of Arts degrees in Communication Studies and Sociology with a minor in Spanish from UCLA in 2008.
