David Warburton

Manager of Sound Editorial

Dave Warburton has long had an interest in sound, and started humbly enough with a microphone, a tape recorder, and the desire to make noise. He studied audio and radio at Emerson College in Boston where the sound equipment was considerably better, but the desire to make noise remained the same. Warburton graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Audio Production, moved to Los Angeles, and started working at an independent post audio facility as studio manager. While there, he worked on independent features and took on many different roles in the post audio process, from field recording, to engineering, to mixing, to editorial and supervision.

Warburton came to Universal in 2007 as the Assistant Manager of Sound Editorial and was promoted to Manager of Sound Editorial in 2009.
