Michael Bertram

Director, Television Sound Services, Universal Studios Sound

Michael Bertram began his career as an editorial assistant in 1985 with Lucasfilm at Skywalker Ranch. He then went on to become Chief Audio Technician until 1996 until deciding to relocate to Los Angeles. Once settling in LA, Michael got a job at 20th Century Fox first as Operations Manager in 1996 and later as Director of Post Production Operations from 1998 to 2000.  Michael changed gears by working as an associate Producer for a prime time animated series called Baby Blues for Warner Bros. for one season. In September 2002, Michael joined the Universal Studios Sound Department as Sound Manager, Editorial. He was promoted to Director, Television Sound Services, Universal Studios Sound in 2009.

Michael spent one year at Santa Rosa Junior College majoring in Business administration then transferred to Brooks Institute in Santa Barbara majoring in Photography with a minor in cinema photography.
