Peter Schade

Vice President of Technical Services
Peter Schade was promoted to Vice President of Technical Services, Universal Operations Group, in August 2002. Schade oversees feature and television mastering and is responsible for the servicing of video and audio materials for Universal’s global home entertainment and television syndication divisions. The department’s shipping, accounting and administration groups report to him as well. Schade reports to Michael Daruty, Senior Vice President of Technical Operations, Universal Operations Group.
Schade joined Universal as Director of Worldwide Home Video and Television Servicing in 1999. He played a key role in the relocation of International Home Video Servicing, which centralized workflow for all 55 international Universal territories. Schade successfully implemented an accelerated video mastering process timeline in response to the narrowing gap between theatrical and home video release dates.
Previously, Schade held positions in technical services for companies such as Worldvision and Turner Entertainment. He began his career in the industry as a scheduler for Turner in 1989.
Schade earned a bachelor’s degree in Telecommunication and Film from California State University at Los Angeles.
